GCC Secretary General Praises the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Evacuating its Citizens and the Nationals of Several Brotherly and Friendly Countries from the Sisterly Republic of Sudan

His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), praised the great diplomatic and logistical role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose efforts resulted in the evacuation of its citizens and nationals of a number of GCC, brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to diplomats and international officials.

His Excellency expressed thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underlining his gratitude for their instructions and direct follow-up to the evacuation process, which got completed in an ease and smooth manner for the evacuees who safely arrived to the city of Jeddah and have had all their needs met ahead of leaving to their home nations.

Moreover, His Excellency also appreciated the great diplomatic efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the countries of the GCC in resolving the Sudanese crisis by establishing communications with all the conflicting parties to reach a comprehensive and peaceful solution within the context of the political framework agreement.

Furthermore, His Excellency reiterated the call for the conflicting parties in Sudan to stop military operations at the earliest, exercise maximum restraint, avoid escalation, prioritise the interests of the brotherly Sudanese people, ensure their security and stability and protect their gains and capabilities.
