HE the GCCSG Congratulates His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait on the Occasion of Assuming the Reins of Power

In his own name and on behalf of all the staff of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), its offices, and its missions, His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC,  extended his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, on the occasion of assuming the reins of power and taking the constitutional oath in the extraordinary session of the National Assembly, on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Additionally, His Excellency prayed for Allah the Almighty to protect the State of Kuwait and perpetuate the blessing of security, stability, and prosperity for the country and its people under the wise leadership of His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait.

He prayed for His Highness to be granted good health and well-being, and for his steps to be guided towards what is best for the country and its people. He also expressed his hopes for Kuwait to continue its journey towards progress and prosperity, as well as broader horizons of development and growth, and to cement its position as a leading country in the region and the world.

His Excellency also commended the valuable support and guidance provided by His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to the blessed march of the GCC in order to achieve its noble goals and bolster the GCC integration in all fields.
