GCC Secretary General Stressed the Significance of Bolstering the Strategic Partnership between the Council’s Countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), underscored the significance of strengthening the depth of the strategic partnership between the Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in order to meet common interests.

His Excellency’s remarks came during his meeting with His Excellency Dr. Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan today, Thursday (June 1, 2023) in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

His Excellency the Secretary General stated that this meeting comes within the framework of the exceptional strategic ties and partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, adding that its also an affirmation of the decision of the Supreme Council of Their Majesties and Highnesses, leaders of the GCC states in its 32nd session regarding the establishment of a strategic partnership between the Council member states and Jordan.

Furthermore, His Excellency pointed out that the meeting cast light on the positive results of this strategic partnership which resulted in establishing cooperation in several areas, contributing to accomplishing the common interests of both parties.

His excellency further added that the meeting also followed up on the latest developments of the joint technical committees between the two sides, whose work will complete by the end of 2025, looking forward to more work and cooperation between the GCC countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
