His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the burning and desecration of a copy of the holy Quran by extremists in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

His Excellency the Secretary General said that the continuation of these heinous acts and irresponsible behaviour reflects extremism and hatred of religions, calling on the Kingdom of Denmark to take immediate action to hold those extremists accountable in accordance with international laws, treaties and norms that protect and preserve religions.
