lululemon Launches Curated Ramadan Collection to Inspire Movement this Holy Month

Ahmed Bin Abdulqader
lululemon, operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the Middle East, has launched its curated Ramadan collection, designed to support individuals as they move through Ramadan—embracing the challenge, resetting their rhythm, and finding strength in togetherness. The launch is backed by recent research revealing that 82% of UAE residents continue to stay active during Ramadan, with most adapting their routines to align with the month’s unique rhythm.
lululemon’s Ramadan edit blends performance and mindfulness, offering elevated, modest silhouettes in serene earth tones and neutral palettes. Designed to flow with the changing pace of Ramadan, the collection transitions seamlessly from gentle morning movement to pre-iftar training sessions and culminates in elevated travel essentials for the Eid holidays. Each piece integrates technical innovation with cultural awareness, empowering individuals to stay active, feel connected, and move with confidence throughout the month.
Fahed Ghanim, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle said:
“Ramadan shifts time and routines—mornings start earlier, nights stretch longer, and movement becomes a way to stay anchored and energised. Our research shows that nearly half of our community adjusts their workouts. As a brand rooted in movement and community, lululemon’s curated Ramadan collection is designed to support both approaches. Movement has a powerful impact on mental wellbeing, and we look forward to inspiring people to move together during the Holy Month.”

lululemon’s curated Ramadan collection is designed to support the community in staying active and maintaining movement throughout the Holy Month, with insights from Majid Al Futtaim’s Market Research Online Community (MROC), The Happiness Lab, highlighting key fitness habits and motivations during Ramadan.
Among the 420+ UAE residents surveyed, 67% cited overall health and well-being as their primary motivation for staying active during Ramadan. Despite 34% noting reduced energy levels, nearly half (48%) successfully balance strength and endurance training throughout the month, reinforcing the need for versatile, performance-driven apparel.
Looking ahead, the research reveals a growing demand for fitness guidance during Ramadan, with 55% of respondents seeking expert advice on maintaining safe and effective workout routines. Additionally, flexible timing options (59%) and community support (40%) were identified as key motivators for staying active.
Maitha Almatrooshi, lululemon Ambassador and Wellbeing and Performance coach, said:
“Ramadan is a time for spiritual and physical renewal. The familiar rhythms of daily life transform, so movement takes on new meaning. Rather than pressing pause on physical wellness, consider Ramadan as an invitation to discover new ways to nurture your strength and vitality. Whether it’s a gentle stretch before suhoor or a peaceful evening walk after iftar, every mindful movement becomes part of your spiritual journey. lululemon will support you in finding your flow during the Holy Month, helping make physical wellness an integral part of your Ramadan experience in ways that feel authentic and energising.”
Top tips to move through Ramadan from lululemon Ambassador and Master Coach, Maitha Almatrooshi:
Before & Post Breaking Fast: Opt for low-impact, yoga, pilates and breathwork, rather than high-impact cardio, before breaking your fast to prevent exhaustion. Take a break for two to three hours post-iftar before engaging in high-intensity workouts and focus on weight-based exercises to aid muscle recovery.
Recovery: Choose protein-rich post-workout recovery meals to help muscle repair. Ice baths help in reducing inflammation and improving blood flow. Hydration is key: drink plenty of water between iftar and suhoor and eat hydrating foods like watermelon and salads.
Staying motivated: Shift your mindset and treat fitness as a lifestyle. Join group workouts to stay motivated and turn gym time into social time. Even if you’re not a fitness enthusiast, keep moving. Remember, small consistent efforts add up to big results.
