HE the GCCSG Receives the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today, Monday, February 10, 2025, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. 

During the meeting, several topics were discussed, most notably reviewing ways to enhance joint Gulf cooperation in the fields of transportation and telecommunications. 

They also discussed the digital transformation efforts of the GCC countries, which contribute to achieving the visions and goals of the member states in this field. 

During the meeting, His Excellency praised the valuable endeavours made by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications in the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting the Gulf cooperation in this field to keep pace with global technological developments and develop the digital infrastructure in the telecommunications sector, which leads to enhancing the competitiveness of the GCC countries and supporting the transition towards a sustainable digital economy.
