The Republic of Lebanon’s Designated Prime Minister Discusses Enhancing Cooperation with HE the GCCSG in the Coming Period

The Republic of Lebanon’s designated Prime Minister, Dr Nawaf Salam, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), at his residence in Beirut on Friday, January 24, 2025. His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi was accompanied by His Excellency Mr Abdullah Al Yahya, the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting covered several topics, primarily focusing on strengthening brotherly GCC-Lebanese relations, avenues for cooperation between both sides, and the latest regional development

During the meeting, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi expressed his hope that the coming period will mark a new era of resurgence for the Lebanese people following the numerous crises they have endured.

He reaffirmed the GCC’s support for anything that strengthens the security and stability of the Lebanese Republic and contributes to the sustainable prosperity and development of the brotherly Lebanese people.
