HE the GCCSG Meets with the UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa to Discuss Enhancing Gulf-British Relations and Current Regional Developments
His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Hamish Falconer, UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the Qatari capital, Doha, on the sidelines of the 22nd Doha Forum, themed “Inevitability of Innovation.”
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, primarily reviewing the relations between the GCC and the United Kingdom under the framework of strategic partnership, and exploring ways to develop and enhance these relations to serve mutual interests.
They also followed up on the latest developments in the negotiations for the free trade agreement between the GCC and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In addition, they exchanged views on the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
