The Saudi General Aviation Airshow, also known as Sand & Fun 2024, hosted a successful press conference today, highlighting the significant role the event plays in advancing Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector and supporting Vision 2030. The conference was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh, and featured remarks from key speakers, including HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Founder and Chairman of the Saudi Aviation Club, Dr. Ahmed Fahad Alfahaid, President of the Club, and Captain Farres moneer, Board Member and General Executive Manager.
HRH Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz – Founder and the Chairman of Saudi Aviation Club – addressed the conference, underscoring the commitment to positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading aviation hub. In his remarks, he stated: “Sand & Fun 2024 reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to expanding its aviation capabilities and nurturing a thriving industry that will inspire generations to come. Through Vision 2030, we are committed to making Saudi Arabia a regional leader in aviation, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities for our youth.”
H.E. Captain Fareess Muneer – a Board Member at Saudi Aviation Club – added to the discussion by emphasizing the educational impact of the airshow, noting how “Sand & Fun 2024 serves as an inspiration for young Saudis interested in aviation careers, supporting the Kingdom’s goals to cultivate a skilled and passionate workforce in this sector.”

More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend, including industry professionals, families, and aviation enthusiasts, all gathering to experience the dynamic aviation culture growing within the Kingdom.

ABOUT THE SAUDI AVIATION CLUB
The Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) is the first accredited aviation club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Founded in December 2000. It operates as an independent, non-profit organization aiming to educate Saudi society about aviation sciences and encourage the practice of various aviation activities, including general aviation, sports aviation, and aircraft models. Through holding exhibitions, conferences, and workshops on the latest developments in this field, it also provides training services for aviation studies and provides the necessary support and services to aircraft owners.
The operations center of the (SAC) is located at Al Thumama Airport, within the King Khalid Royal Reserve in Riyadh. The Saudi Aviation Club works as the official representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in The Federation Aeronaut International (FAI) and member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
