HE the GCCSG: The Recent Statements Issued by Some Israeli Officials Calling for the Relocation of Palestinians Outside the Gaza Strip Reflect Israel’s Negative and Hostile Intentions Towards the Peace Process in the Middle East.
His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his strong rejection and condemnation of the statements made by Israeli ministers calling for the relocation of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip.
His Excellency stated that these statements reflect Israel’s negative and hostile intentions towards the peace process in the Middle East, posing a threat to the stability of the region and an obstacle to peace-building efforts. He emphasised that such statements constitute a dangerous escalation that could lead to increased regional tensions.
Moreover, His Excellency stressed the need for the international community to work collectively to preserve peace opportunities in the region and find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. He called for an end to irresponsible and inflammatory statements that would further escalate the situation in the region.
Furthermore, His Excellency reaffirmed the unwavering and committed stance of the GCC member states towards the Palestinian cause, supporting the rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state on the territories occupied in 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital
