HE GCCSG: Great and Appreciated Efforts Made by the State of Qatar, in Partnership with Egypt and the US, to Reach a Humanitarian Truce Agreement that Will Hopefully Contribute to Alleviating the Tragic Conditions in the Gaza Strip
His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), praised the great and appreciated efforts made by the State of Qatar, in partnership with the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United States of America, in reaching a humanitarian truce agreement that contributes to alleviating the tragic conditions in the Gaza Strip.
HE the Secretary General said that the State of Qatar is one of the first countries that sought, through its diplomacy and since the beginning of the crisis, to constantly communicate with all parties, and call for an immediate ceasefire and the entry of aid to the Palestinian people.
His excellency expressed hope that this agreement would contribute to the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, as well as fuel, to the people of the Gaza Strip. He also expressed hope that this truce would mark the beginning of a permanent ceasefire, putting an end to the crisis in the Gaza Strip and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
