The Council called on the Republic of Iraq to take serious and urgent steps to address the negative repercussions that arose from the ruling of the Supreme Federal Court issued on Monday, September 4, 2023, and published on Thursday, September 14, 2023, adding that the ruling contained inaccurate historical details out of context regarding the 2012 agreement between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq concerning the regulation of maritime navigation in the Khor Abdullah.
