The General Consulate of the People’s Republic of China Celebrates its 77th Anniversary of Foundation in Jeddah 

In the presence of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah hosted a reception to celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. Upon his arrival at the venue, His Highness was received by His Excellency Mr. Yang Yi, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah, alongside several consulate members and officials. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Fareed bin Saad Al-Shehri, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Branch in the Makkah Region, as well as a crowd of members of the diplomatic corps, consuls general, and representatives from the business, media, and cultural sectors. 

In a speech delivered during the event, Chinese Consul General Yang Yi expressed his deep gratitude to His Highness the Governor of Jeddah and the honored guests. He extended his congratulations to the Saudi people on the occasion of the 96th Saudi National Day, emphasizing the strength of the historical relations and the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, which continues to witness steady growth in alignment with the 10th anniversary of its establishment. 

Yang Yi praised the growing economic and technological cooperation between Riyadh and Beijing, highlighting the deep alignment and synergy between the “Belt and Road” Initiative and “Saudi Vision 2030.” He noted the qualitative leaps in bilateral cooperation across sectors such as artificial intelligence, new energy, and infrastructure, as well as cultural and educational exchanges. 

The Consul General affirmed China’s commitment to continuing close cooperation with the Kingdom to foster regional security and stability, and to push forward into new horizons of fruitful partnership that serve the aspirations of both friendly nations.
