HE GCCSG: Terrorist Houthi Attacks on Riyadh and Khamis Mushait Constitute Grave Escalation and Direct Threat to Regional Security
His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strongly condemned the Houthi assaults employing ballistic missiles and drones that targeted the cities of Riyadh and Khamis Mushait in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming that this perilous escalation represents a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and an immediate threat to civilian safety and regional stability.
His Excellency underscored that GCC member states stand in full solidarity alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, extending complete support for all measures it undertakes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
He further urged the international community to adopt a decisive stance to halt these recurrent terrorist aggressions and hold the perpetrators fully accountable for their actions.
