Rixos Murjana Marks Its First Saudi National Day With Four Days Of Heritage And Hospitality By The Red Sea

 Rixos Murjana will celebrate its first Saudi National Day this September, just months after opening its doors in early 2026. It will also be the first National Day marked at the Kingdom’s first luxury ultra all-inclusive resort of its kind. From September 23 to 26, the resort will host four days rooted in Saudi heritage, led by the Saudi Ardah, traditional equestrian displays and evenings in the majlis, all set against the Red Sea. 

The programme takes its lead from this year’s National Day identity, “عزّنا بطبعنا” (Our Pride Lies in Our Nature), which honours the traits that shape the Saudi people. Generosity is one of them, and it is the one Rixos Murjana has chosen to build its celebration around. For the team at the resort, generosity is part of who they are, and hospitality is how they express it, from the welcome at the door to the time guests spend together in the majlis.

The celebrations open on September 23 with a grand welcome in the lobby at 5:00pm, followed at 5:45pm by the Saudi National Day March, which carries guests from the lobby down to Solara Beach Club. By the shoreline, a horse acrobatics show begins at 6:00pm. At 6:45pm, guests are invited into a traditional majlis on the grass area to watch the Saudi Ardah, the sword dance of drums and poetry that has long stood for unity and pride in the Kingdom. At 7:00pm, the Saudi equestrian parade and horse show pays tribute to the Kingdom’s deep ties to horsemanship, with riders showing the skill passed down through generations. 

Later in the evening, families can head to the Rixy Carnival in the Carnival Zone from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, while football fans gather at Solara Beach Club to watch Saudi Arabia take on Kuwait from 9:00pm to 11:00pm. A traditional Arabic band then plays on until 1:00am. 

On September 24 and 25, the celebrations move to Murjana Water Park, where a Waterpark Carnival runs from 6:00pm to 10:00pm each evening. On September 24, Solara Beach Club screens the Qatar versus Bahrain match from 9:00pm to 11:00pm, with live music afterwards until 1:00am. The final night, September 26, brings the Oman versus Saudi Arabia match from 9:00pm to 11:00pm, and live music closes the celebrations at 1:00am. 

Between the performances, guests have the whole resort to enjoy.
