Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media Strengthens India Strategy with New Trade Incentive Programme
Three-City Roadshow Deepens Travel Trade Partnerships and Supports Visitor Growth

Reinforcing India’s position as a strategic source market, the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media announced a new incentive programme for travel trade partners during its promotional roadshow across Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The initiative marks a new phase in Ajman’s India strategy, focused on strengthening trade partnerships, stimulating bookings, and supporting sustained visitor growth to the emirate.
The ‘Ajman Partner’ Tourism Growth Incentive Programme will run from 15 September to 1 December, offering eligible travel agents performance-based incentives for confirmed passenger bookings to Ajman. The programme is designed to encourage greater destination promotion, strengthen Ajman’s presence within UAE travel itineraries, and generate increased demand during the campaign period.
The announcement formed a key part of the three-city roadshow, which provided a direct platform for engagement with travel agents, tour operators, and other tourism partners across three important Indian markets. Through B2B meetings and destination presentations, the Department highlighted Ajman’s diverse tourism proposition and explored new opportunities for commercial collaboration.
HE Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, said: “India represents a key market within Ajman’s strategy to diversify its international visitor base and strengthen its global tourism presence. The strong engagement during our roadshow reflects the potential we see in this market. Through the new incentive programme, we are creating practical opportunities for our travel trade partners to expand Ajman’s presence in their portfolios, generate bookings and contribute to sustainable visitor growth.”
He added: “Our approach centres on long-term partnerships, strong destination knowledge and shared value. By working closely with travel agents, tour operators, and destination management companies, we aim to develop tourism products that respond to the interests of Indian travellers and translate growing awareness of Ajman into increased visitation.”
Neeti Sharma, Director – Intrepid Marketing & Communications, said: “Indian travellers are increasingly seeking distinctive experiences across the UAE, and Ajman is well positioned to respond through its combination of culture, heritage, leisure, nature, family experiences, and hospitality. Our trade engagement focuses on equipping partners with the knowledge and commercial opportunities required to actively recommend Ajman. The incentive programme will provide additional momentum during an important travel period and support stronger destination consideration among Indian travellers.”
Ajman’s India strategy forms part of its broader tourism ambitions under Ajman Vision 2030, supporting the emirate’s development as an accessible, competitive and well-rounded destination. The Department continues to broaden its tourism offering across leisure, nature, family tourism, hospitality, and business events while strengthening relationships with international travel trade partners across priority source markets.
The incentive programme builds on this direction by combining targeted trade support, direct B2B engagement, and a distinctive destination proposition. Through continued collaboration with Indian tourism partners, the Department aims to strengthen destination knowledge, expand Ajman’s inclusion across travel programmes, and generate sustained demand for the emirate.
