With its iconic architecture, generous gathering spaces and long-standing reputation for hosting the city’s most celebrated Ramadan experiences, Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh offers a setting uniquely suited to meaningful moments shared with family, friends and loved ones during the Holy Month.

Fawanees by Mandarin Oriental

At the heart of the hotel’s Ramadan offering is Fawanees, the signature iftar experience and a long-standing symbol of the season at Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh. Inspired by the traditional lanterns that have illuminated Ramadan nights for generations, Fawanees embodies the spirit of sharing light, heritage and togetherness – values that lie at the heart of the Holy Month.

Hosted within the majestic Prince Sultan Grand Ballroom, Fawanees unfolds within a thoughtfully designed space that blends contemporary elegance with subtle references to regional craftsmanship. Guests arrive through immersive, lantern-lit walkways before entering a series of curated areas, from large family tables and intimate seating zones to elevated dining experiences.

At the centre of the experience is a lavish iftar buffet showcasing a world of flavours, complemented by live cooking stations and dedicated dessert displays, all set beneath striking architectural installations inspired by the form and glow of traditional lanterns.
Highlights include live cooking stations, Arabic and Levantine specialities and a wide selection of traditional dishes. The offering is complemented by international favourites, from sushi and sashimi to dim sum, shawarma stations, and a carvery featuring herb-crusted ribeye. A selection of refreshing salads including Salad Niçoise, Burrata and Chargrilled Aubergine & Goats cheese will also be served in addition to a pasta station with hearty Italian favourites. To finish, guests can delight in an indulgent dessert selection of Arabic sweets, om ali and fresh fruit.

Eye of Riyadh represents the Gold Sponsor for this year’s celebrations with a dedicated booth offering enhanced seating and service within a more exclusive environment.
