His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Receives HE the GCCSG
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), today, Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Al Safriya Palace in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
During the meeting, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General had the honour of listening to the high directives from His Majesty the King which underlined the importance of continuing to support the journey of the Cooperation Council, in line with the visions and aspirations of his brothers, Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, to contribute to achieving the hopes of the citizens of the Council states for more progress and prosperity.
Moreover, His Excellency extended his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the distinguished contributions and efforts provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leadership and people, to the blessed journey of the Cooperation Council.
Furthermore, His Excellency congratulated His Majesty on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2026 – 2027, a step that reflects the trust and respect the Kingdom enjoys at the international level.
Meanwhile, His Excellency expressed his pride in the statement issued by the extraordinary session of the Bahraini Cabinet, which was chaired by His Majesty the King. He noted the statement’s affirmation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm belief that crises and disputes should be resolved through dialogue and mutual respect, as they are the best means to achieve peace, security, stability, and prosperity for all peoples of the region, and His Majesty’s emphasis on the importance of promoting the principles of solidarity and regional and international peace and security.
His Excellency the GCC Secretary General concluded his statement by stressing the significant and distinguished role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the regional and international levels. In the same context, he praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s accomplishments at all levels, most notably its economic and developmental successes, which have led to it securing advanced rankings in many global indicators.
