HE the GCCSG Holds Virtual Meeting with Secretary General of Hague Conference on Private International Law

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held a virtual meeting today, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with Dr Christophe Bernasconi, Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the GCC and the Hague Conference on Private International Law in the fields of international law and the exchange of academic and research expertise, as well as issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Secretary General stressed the importance of raising awareness of international law and the necessity of adhering to it for achieving global peace and security. He also highlighted the GCC’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with prestigious international institutions to achieve common goals, including building legal capacity and developing specialised personnel in the GCC countries.
