Within the framework of the Al-Balsam Association’s medical campaign, 70 free neurological surgeries were performed, 300 patients were examined, and the required health care, medical consultations, and medications were provided.
For his part, the Chadian Minister of Public Health and Prevention, Dr. Abdelmajid Abdel Rahim, said during the ceremony held to honor the Al-Balsam team: “I am proud of this achievement and this commendable work that is happening for the first time in Chad. Such great achievement is not strange for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has always shown a great deal of responsibility towards all friendly countries.”
The Chadian Minister of Health also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – the Saudi government and people, expressing his hopes that the friendly relations will always continue between the two countries.
Dr. Senecky Vandbni, Director General of Al-Nahda Hospital in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, said that at the end of the surgeries performed at Al-Nahda Hospital under the auspices of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and in cooperation with the Al-Balsam Association for Training and Health Development, we laud the cooperation between Chad and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which allowed major surgical operations to be performed.
The director of Al-Nahda Hospital pointed out that more than 300 Chadian citizens underwent medical examinations, including more than 100 complex cases. Neurological surgeries were performed for 70 citizens, while care and medicine were provided for other cases. Surgeries were also performed on children who were suffering from deformities for months and even years, and due to various reasons, they could not obtain quality health care based on modern technologies.
The Director of Al-Nahda Hospital added: “We were greatly appreciated during this campaign for the close cooperation between the Saudi and Chadian medical teams, which provided the opportunity for our doctors to get training at the hands of distinguished Saudi doctors. We believe that this campaign has enhanced the link and cooperation between the two countries and we hope that this campaign will be renewed periodically. We are waiting for the next medical campaign to perform surgeries for many patients in Chad.
” At the end of the campaign, the Chadian Ministry of Health honored the medical team of the Al-Balsam Association, in a ceremony attended by the representative of the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Chad, the Chadian Minister of Health, the Director of Al-Nahda Hospital and officials from the Ministry of Health.
The visit of the Al-Balsam team to the Republic of Chad is the second campaign organized by the association after the signing of a cooperation agreement with the King Salman Relief Center. The first activity of the Association was a successful medical campaign for the Republic of Kyrgyzstan which was organized last November and included 112 heart surgeries, all of which were successful.
