His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Receives His Excellency the Secretary General of the GCC

His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the current Chairman of the Ministerial Council, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the Qatari capital, Doha.

During the meeting, they discussed several matters related to the GCC joint work and efforts aimed at enhancing it to meet the aspirations of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC member countries. The objective is to bring about greater goodness and prosperity for the citizens of the Council member states and fulfill their aspirations.

The meeting also elaborated on the most important topics on the agenda of the Ministerial Council of the GCC, including regional and international issues. Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary General commended Qatar’s role during its chairmanship of the current session of the GCC and its contributions to support the Council’s progress and the work of its General Secretariat.
