HE GCCSG Directs During His Meeting with the Grievance Committee at the General Secretariat to Address the Employment Conditions of Over 50 Male and Female Employees

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with the Grievance Committee at the GCC General Secretariat, on Monday (November 6, 2023) at the General Secretariat’s headquarters in Riyadh.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Secretary General emphasised the significance of safeguarding the employment rights of the General Secretariat’s employees. His Excellency further expressed his keenness to ensure equality and job fairness, and underscored the importance of supporting employees to achieve a functional work environment that enhances efficiency, effectiveness and productivity within the General Secretariat.
During the meeting, grievances related to academic qualifications were reviewed, while HE the Secretary General issued his directives on the necessity of addressing the employment conditions of more than 50 male and female employees, and instructed the Committee to complete the necessary procedures as soon as possible, in accordance with what is stipulated in the laws and regulations, in order to achieve the principle of justice and equality.
His Excellency was also briefed on the proposals submitted by the Committee to develop the work system in the General Secretariat.
