The General Secretariat of the GCC Celebrates the 42nd Founding Anniversary of the Council

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh Region, the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold a celebration to mark the 42nd founding anniversary of the GCC, tomorrow, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at its headquarters in Riyadh.

On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC,  said: “On the 25th of May, we celebrate the foundation of this entity and this blessed march since 1981.  When this structure was established thanks to the wisdom of the founding fathers and leaders, may Allah bless their souls, who largely contributed to the process of the Council, extending unlimited support and placing their faith in their peoples, in addition to their permanent backing and generous care. They are the ones who laid the solid foundation for this blessed edifice, which, thanks to the grace of Allah, and the vision of Their majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries is moving forward to fulfil the goals and aspirations of the peoples of the GCC countries, as well as form a reality that aims to protect the gains and build for the future with confidence, determination and competence.”
