HE GCCSG Praises Peace Agreement Between Rwanda & the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Efforts of the USA & the State of Qatar, Affirming the Importance of Promoting Diplomacy & Dialogue to Resolve Regional & International Crises

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed the signing of the peace agreement between the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, praising the efforts made by the United States of America and the State of Qatar.

He expressed hope that this agreement will contribute to ending tensions, fulfilling the aspirations of the peoples of both countries for security and stability, supporting the paths of prosperity and development in their region, and enhancing opportunities for regional and international peace and security.

His Excellency the Secretary General also noted the positive and growing role of the GCC countries in supporting peaceful solutions and promoting security and stability in various regions of the world, stressing the firm commitment of the Council states to the diplomatic approach and dialogue as essential tools for addressing international and regional crises and achieving sustainable development.
